The Nokia C7-00 is one of the first few phones to run on Nokia’s overhauled operating system, the Symbian^3. The full touch handset is powered by an ARM 11 680MHz processor, while the graphics part is managed by a dedicated 3D graphics accelerator. The C7-00 mobile phone is packed with 256 MB of RAM and 1 GB of ROM.
The user interface of the Nokia C7-00 is akin to that of the Nokia N8. The phone has three customizable homescreens that can be personalized as per your convenience. The screen of this device is 3.5-inch big with 640 x 360 pixel resolution.
This Nokia mobile boasts of an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and zooming capabilities. The phone camera also lets you record HD 720p quality videos at 25 fps. There is a fullscreen 16:9 viewfinder with on-screen touch controls that make handling of the camera very easy. A secondary VGA camera is also fitted in the front of the C7-00 through which you can make video calls.
Design
The Nokia C7-00 comes in a polished stainless steel casing with a glass front and has a slim candy bar form factor. The capacitive display of this Nokia handset has AMOLED screen type with support for 16.7 million colors. Weighing 130 g, the phone measures 117.3 x 56.8 x 10.5 mm. The sensors present in the C7-00 include accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and magnetometer.
Storage and Battery
The battery used in this Nokia handset is a standard 1200 mAh Li-Ion cell that serves talk time of 9.6 hours in 2G and 5.3 hours in 3G networks. The video call time supported by the phone battery is up to 2.6 hours. Audio and video playback time include 54 hours and 6.5 hours, respectively. The Nokia C7-00 ships with 8 GB internal memory, which you can further expand up to 32 GB using a microSD card.
Connectivity and Features
The Nokia smartphone is packed with all the standard connectivity features including GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi. There is a 3.5 mm AV connecting port to listen to music and radio. Bluetooth and USB help you with transferring of files. The USB On-the-Go feature of the C7-00 lets you read content from USB devices like pen drives.
The Symbian device is integrated with GPS, A-GPS receivers that help you with routes and directions. It also has Ovi Maps support with turn-by-turn voice guidance to help you discover nearby restaurants, landmarks and other points of interest. This social network integrated phone receives live updates from Facebook and Twitter directly on the home screen.
With the Nokia C7-00, you can work even on the go, thanks to the unified push email client supporting multiple protocols such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live, Hotmail and other popular POP/IMAP services, Mail for Exchange, IBM Lotus traveler. The Quickoffice Viewer lets you view Word, PowerPoint and Excel files.
